The MASFAA President Elect’s Retreat took place July 30-31
in Indianapolis, IN. President Elect
Marvin Smith developed an impressive schedule for the incoming MASFAA Board to
discuss. Some of the topics included the
development of a Diversity Statement for the association, developing a
Strategic Planning Task Force, potential changes to the MASFAA membership
model, and the use of webinars to deliver training for our members. There was also small group discussions amongst
the State representatives and various committee groupings, to develop goals and
action plans for the upcoming MASFAA year.
Of course, during the discussions about the 2019 MASFAA
Year, we also heard information about the 2018 MASFAA Conference in
Minneapolis, MN, October 14-17. You do
not want to miss this event! The 2018
Program Committee and Local Arrangements Committee have lined up a lot of great
opportunities and learn from and with your MASFAA colleagues. You should run, don’t walk, to https://masfaaweb.org/conference
to get registered for the conference and reserve your room at the Marriott City
Center. Register by August 31 to take
advantage of the early bird registration rate!
